I've been trying cartomizers, both kinds (KR808 and 510).  I bought a a Janty Dura over a year ago and the throat hit was so harsh, I never used it that much.  I kept hoping it would calm down.  It never did.  I recently ordered a Joye 510 atomizer to see if it would work and it made all the difference.  I now like the 510 and also the cartomizers.  I bought adapters to use with my 801 passthrough and they work alright, but the atomizers seem to work best on the batteries they were made for.  I was wondering what you all thought about the adapters and what experience you had with them.

I just learned that the "Ultimo" that Jane sells is very much like a 510.  I was wondering if the Janty Dura carts fit it.  When I bought my Dura, I bought a lot of cartridges to justify the high shipping and handling charges.  Also, I'd like to try the passthrough made for the Ultimo.

At this point, I like using the 510 cartomizers and also the regular 510 atomizers with the Dura carts. Since I like to do DIY once in a while, I want a regular atomizer so I can just drip a few drops to try before I make a larger batch.  I still really like the cartomizers, but have mixed feelings about them.  Mostly because I haven't used them long enough.  I'm beginning to think that I prefer the 510 cartomizers over the KR808, because I can pop off the top and see what the filler looks like - how dry it is or if it's discolored.  I'm really mixed up and would really appreciate some feedback. ~ Janet

You can do the same with the 808

I learned something new today! The atty's get too hot to use a painted atomizer. We should worry about the paint quality, something that we  cannot test at home. Think about it : we did not quit smoking to die of lead poisoning.  So if you are given a choice go for the stainless atty's.

That is a very good point Kabton. I hadn't thought of that but I will from now on. The majority of my collection is stainless thankfully.
